Place-Based Learning
The island is the classroom at The Field School of Hvar. Children ages one through seventeen find confidence and character in nature, while mastering core academic skills through hands-on projects and acts of service. Our environment is screen-free and peer-led.
Parent Community
Travelling is like parenting: it’s more fun with a village. For the 2025 season, The Field School is excited to introduce a Community program, which will include village-style accommodations, a private coworking office, welcome dinners, workshops and service opportunities, and family outings.
Local Support
Where to buy healthy groceries? Whom to see if your child needs a dentist? What’s the best diving spot no one talks about? To save families time and stress, The Field School of Hvar provides a parent’s guide to the island, a rolodex of useful contacts from babysitters to real estate agents, and a local friend to turn to in case of emergency.
